Placement: The Rehabilitation Unit - Sölvesborg Municipality. As an occupational therapist with us, we offer you varied, engaging, and stimulating work. The workplace consists of six occupational therapists, four physical therapists, and one rehabilitation nursing assistant. We are distributed across two locations: an office in the countryside in Mjällby and an office in Falkvik in Sölvesborg. Responsibilities are geographically divided, and the entire work team gathers one day per week in Sölvesborg, which provides good collegial support in daily work and opportunities for professional development together. We are looking for someone with experience or interest in working as an occupational therapist in both home healthcare and in specialized housing facilities. We are also responsible for the municipality's LSS (act concerning support and service for persons with certain functional impairments) operations. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As an occupational therapist, you are responsible for assessment, implementation, and follow-up of occupational therapy interventions as well as fitting and prescribing assistive devices. Based on the patient's activity capacity, you assess needs such as training, compensatory measures like assistive devices, or environmental modifications. You prioritize and organize your workday both independently and together with your colleagues based on the cases you are responsible for. We place great emphasis on collaboration with other professionals around and with the service user and their family. The healthcare organization actively works on continuous quality improvement, and openness and an interest in developing operations are required. There is an opportunity to get involved in specific areas and drive improvement initiatives. Your work also includes supervising and delegating to staff, and you document in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist. It is a merit if you have experience from municipal activities, but it is not required. We would like to see that you have experience and/or interest in helping develop our rehabilitation services together with other staff. As a person, you are solution-focused, structured, and have a professional demeanor. You have a positive view of people, are attentive, and can see the individual's needs. You work well with others but are also comfortable working independently. You are positive and contribute to a good work environment. A Class B driver's license for a manual transmission car is required. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Employment type: Permanent employment. According to the Act (2026:43) on criminal record checks for work in homes for elderly persons or adults with disabilities, you must be able to provide an extract from the criminal record upon job offer. In connection with reference checks, we will also request extracts from the IVO (Health and Social Care Inspectorate) regarding any supervisory matters and an extract from the National Board of Health and Welfare's register of licensed healthcare personnel.
