Job Description The automotive industry is in the midst of one of its greatest transformations ever. Electrification, digitalization, and autonomous technologies are changing how tomorrow's vehicles are designed, developed, and manufactured. At AFRY Automotive, we're proud to be part of this journey and are now seeking an engaged and technology-driven Lead Engineer who wants to contribute to developing the next generation of commercial vehicles. Our customers in the defense industry also face exciting technical developments and have a significant need for experienced Lead Engineers. As a Lead Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work on innovative solutions in technically challenging projects for some of Sweden's leading players in the automotive and defense industries. You'll be an important part of our team in the Stockholm region, based in Stockholm or Södertälje, where you'll work with colleagues and customers to drive innovative solutions that contribute to a more sustainable future. About the Role As a Lead Engineer, you are responsible for leading and coordinating technical development activities throughout the product development process. You'll be a key person in projects where you combine technical expertise with a coaching and collaboration-oriented leadership style. Assignments can be conducted both within AFRY's internal delivery organization or with our customers, giving you a varied day-to-day experience and the opportunity to develop in different environments. You'll work closely with engineers, project managers, and other technical specialists to ensure projects are delivered with high quality and according to established goals. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical challenges into clear and implementable solutions. Who Are You? You are communicative, solution-oriented, and motivated by working together with others to reach common goals. Qualifications Several years of experience in product development within the manufacturing industry At least three years of experience with CATIA V5 4–5 years of experience from the automotive industry Relevant degree or engineering degree in, for example, mechanical engineering, product development, or equivalent Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Swedish citizenship Additional Information We offer you a position in a company where creating new ideas is encouraged and innovations are pursued.
