Common Services is seeking new service-oriented colleagues! Could you be our new team member?
As a teacher in the staffing unit, you'll have an excellent opportunity to gain broad experience in your profession. The staffing unit's mission is to replace regular staff who are absent and provide coverage when additional staff is needed.
We know that engaged, motivated, and friendly colleagues create good service and are the key to our success. Our employees are the heart of what we do. That's why it's important to us that you feel comfortable in our team.
Your Role with Us
You work in school and/or at the recreation center to cover for regular staff absences.
You design instruction in accordance with the curriculum goals—plan, prepare, implement, and evaluate your teaching. With commitment and enthusiasm, you will stimulate and encourage students to learn and take personal responsibility. You demonstrate strong leadership both inside and outside the classroom/recreation center, set clear expectations for students, and communicate these expectations transparently.
As a teacher, you create quality-assured, engaging, and inspiring instruction for all students based on their level, with the student's best interests in focus. You lead and organize work so that a secure learning environment is created based on democratic values, mutual respect, and collaboration.
Through dialogue, you build relationships with students, guardians, and other partners that are characterized by mutual respect, trustworthiness, and positive and high expectations.
You reflect systematically on practical work, both individually and together with colleagues, in relation to the organization's goals. You assess and document each student's needs, knowledge, and abilities. The role includes using alternative teaching tools. Taking responsibility for your working time, trust time, and professional development is part of the work, as is being active in collaborative learning.
Who Are We Looking For?
You have a teacher's license with credentials to teach in primary school and/or recreation centers. If you are currently studying to become a teacher or recreation center teacher and have not yet received your degree or license, please note this in your application. If you have a passing secondary school grade, it should be attached to your application. We prefer candidates with experience working as a primary school/recreation center teacher or experience in pedagogical activities.
You must be able to adapt instruction based on each student's circumstances, and your lessons should be characterized by clear expectations, a focused work environment, and a desire to learn. It's advantageous if you can organize and structure work based on specified goals. It's also beneficial if you can analyze and document students' abilities and knowledge.
To succeed in this role, you must build trusting relationships by being communicative and attentive both in and outside school. It's advantageous if you have commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school environment and how it's affected by the broader world. It's also beneficial if you have an understanding and holistic view of school operations and how it's organized within the municipality.
Furthermore, you are a confident pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the team's work methods for continuous improvement. Strong ability to use digital technology in teaching as well as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting is advantageous. You are well-versed in and adhere to the professional ethical principles for teachers and have an aptitude for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge. It's advantageous if you also have a B driving license with access to a car.
When we offer you the position, you must provide a certificate from the police criminal record registry so we can employ you, in accordance with provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
