About the Workplace
SiS Youth Home Ljungaskog in Örkelljunga is a special youth home that receives non-compulsory schooling girls with psychosocial problems, substance abuse, and self-harm issues. We have 32 places, distributed across five departments, for girls between 16–21 years old. SiS Youth Home Ljungaskog is part of the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, see http://www.stat-inst.se/. The girls are placed at Ljungaskog by their home municipalities according to the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). SiS Youth Home Ljungaskog runs a school year-round for its young people. Teaching is based on the students' needs and conditions, within the framework of the upper secondary school's introductory program.
Job Description
During parts of the academic year 26/27, the school needs strengthening through a teaching teacher who has some combination of music, home & consumer knowledge, and/or mathematics. Your work tasks will consist of conducting teaching/planning and assessment/grading in music, home & consumer knowledge, and/or mathematics (depending on your subject combination) with a strong focus on individual conditions and accommodations. Depending on your other qualifications, it may be relevant to teach these subjects as well. You will also participate in pedagogical assessments, with a focus on assessments in the subjects you teach, which are conducted with our students as part of the institution's intake and assessment mandate.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in two or more of the subjects music, home & consumer knowledge, and mathematics at upper secondary level or for upper elementary school grades 7–9. You have experience working systematically according to a language-developing work model, working with accommodations and individualized teaching, and have good knowledge within the NPF field. It is meritorious if you have experience working in introductory programs.
In the classroom, your work and teaching are characterized by a low-affect approach where you have the ability to create a positive study atmosphere that challenges and inspires students to progress as far as possible in their knowledge development, as well as develop their social skills, based on individual conditions. Students are always the focus of your work, and you are curious and motivated to find paths to success for each student. You always show great commitment and patience where you have confidence in students' abilities. Through your approach, you create security, trust, and good relationships. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
For you to succeed in your assignment, we require that you are a clear pedagogical leader with good structure and that you have a professional and scientific approach where proven experience is also a firm foundation. You further have good cooperation skills with your colleagues and are solution-focused and flexible in your work approach. You are responsible, work systematically, and continuously follow up and evaluate your work. Your knowledge of Swedish is good both orally and in writing, as part of your position involves documenting the work through school reports and assessments for our students.
