Södra Folkhögskolan in Helsingborg is seeking several teachers for our Study Motivation Folk High School Course (SMF). Our activities are characterized by the idea that knowledge and education create opportunities for a richer life. Now we are looking for you who want to make a difference for young adults between 16 and 25 years old at our folk high school in central Helsingborg. The school has a culture where the importance of being who you are, being seen, and being listened to permeates the entire operation. It should simply be fun to come to school, regardless of whether you work there as a participant or as an employee. At Södra Folkhögskolan, learning happens in meetings with reality as much as in the classroom. We use the city as part of the learning environment and combine theory with practical and real-world elements. The school currently offers a General Course with several specializations, Entrepreneurship and Vocational Preparation Course in Corrections as special courses, as well as a Study Motivation Folk High School Course (SMF). We are in an expansive phase with new assignments and opportunities. As a teacher, you teach subjects such as Swedish, English, and mathematics, and actively work to motivate participants to develop and take the next step toward further studies or work. The assignment also involves contributing to a safe, structured, and inspiring learning environment. You enjoy working closely with colleagues and other professionals and see collaboration as a natural part of your work. Our participants have different experiences, prerequisites, and educational backgrounds. Language proficiency ranges from limited knowledge of Swedish to Swedish as a native language. Therefore, you need to be able to work flexibly, with individualized approaches, and in a relationship-building manner. As a smaller folk high school, we help each other, support one another, and work together for the participants' benefit. We continuously work for equality and an inclusive work environment and strive for staff to reflect the diversity that exists among our participants. One position begins with a six-month probationary period with the possibility of a permanent contract. In addition, we offer several time-limited full-time positions (100%) until December 31.
