Jämtlands Gymnasieförbund is responsible for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, and portions of adult education in our member municipalities. The federation's eight schools are located in nature and mountain-adjacent settings spread across six municipalities – Berg, Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund.
Jämtlands Gymnasium Åre is located in Järpen, the main town in Åre municipality. Our school has students from across Sweden and the rest of the world, which creates a wonderful mix of people and cultures. Description
We are seeking a certified primary school teacher with qualifications in English and one additional subject up to grade 9 for the Introduction Program at Jämtlands Gymnasium Åre. You will be part of the teaching team and work together with other teachers in the Introduction Program.
This position is a special fixed-term employment at 50 percent during the 2026/2027 school year, with the possibility of extension. Start date is October 1, 2026 or by agreement.
Your future responsibilities
You will work together with other teachers in the Introduction Program. Mentorship is included in this position.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has teacher certification and qualifications in English and one additional subject up to grade 9.
You have a strong ability to collaborate with students, guardians, colleagues, and school management. You also have experience and ability working with students with special needs. You are well-versed in the documentation and assessment expected in the teaching profession and use IT as a natural tool in your work.
