Folkuniversitetet has extensive experience in providing adult education and offers quality instruction with a focus on participants' development and learning. We are now seeking a substitute teacher for our basic English courses. Do you value independence, pedagogical development, and a scientific approach? About the Position The work involves teaching in adult education (Komvux) at the basic level. Instruction takes place in the evenings and in distance learning format. We are now seeking teachers with expertise in: English (evening and distance) Your Qualifications and Background We are looking for you with teacher certification and credentials in English. You have a genuine interest in adult education in both theory and practice, and in information and communication technology (ICT) and AI as pedagogical tools. You also have very strong digital skills and experience from adult education. Further studies and/or experience in literacy development and foundational literacy are advantageous. As an educator at our school, you are expected to have a relational approach with both students and colleagues, the ability to see students' needs, to personalize instruction, and to bring out each individual's potential. It is important that you are accustomed to working independently and solution-focused. You need to be flexible, responsive, quick, and organized. You build good relationships with students that motivate them to develop. We expect that you share our view on people's equal worth and right to knowledge. About the Employment Full-time/part-time, substitute hours or longer-term substitute positions during sick leave, based in Gothenburg, start immediately.
