We are seeking a teacher for the Electrical and Energy Program. Job Responsibilities Teaching and other teaching duties on the Electrical and Energy Program. You will teach in all grade levels within alarm systems, maintenance, and electrical technology. The EE program has specializations in Electrical Technology and Energy Technology. You will work in both specializations. The teaching role also includes mentoring students, where you encourage students to take their own initiative, contributing to responsibility for their own development. Through your mentoring, you will also collaborate with students' guardians and school health teams on matters concerning individual development. You will be part of a teaching team. Requirements for the Position: Licensed teacher with authorization to teach at upper secondary level in the electrical and energy program. However, those working in the electrical and energy sector who wish to try the profession and are interested in beginning education as a vocational teacher may also be of interest. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Merit for the Position: Have worked as an electrician (installation or industrial) for several years, either as self-employed or as an employee. Have good and established contacts within the electrical and energy sector. Have knowledge of the requirements and guidelines set by the electrical sector's central professional board (ECY) for obtaining an electrical certificate and the path to becoming a qualified electrician, and have knowledge of the legislation applicable to electrical installation and electrical safety. Qualities: We are looking for someone with both practical and theoretical experience in the field. You have pronounced ability to cooperate, can take your own initiative, and have the willingness and ability to meet and support each student in their learning according to their level of knowledge. As a teacher, you see possibilities in working with ICT as a natural tool in learning and teaching. We would appreciate if you have experience working with young people. Good knowledge of the local labor market is a merit. Great consideration is given to personal suitability. About the Workplace: Vägga Gymnasium currently has just over 1,000 students and 150 employees. The school offers most national programs as well as introductory programs and adapted upper secondary school. The gymnasium is divided into four school units, each with a responsible principal. The Education Administration has approximately 1,200 employees and is responsible for preschool, primary school, adapted school, upper secondary school, municipal adult education, commissioned education, and Swedish for Immigrants (SFI).
