About the School The school is beautifully located on Gnestahöjden, a ten-minute walk from Gnesta train station, 40 minutes from Stockholm Central Station. The principal is a non-profit association founded in 1993. Gnesta is a growing municipality and we are a modern Waldorf school that is constantly expanding and developing with just under 190 students distributed from preschool through grade 9 and afterschool care. Gnesta Waldorf School is characterized by a holistic approach to students aimed at developing the whole person – mind, heart, and will. Some things that distinguish our pedagogy are that we work with cross-disciplinary theme periods and aim to integrate creative activities such as art, crafts, and music into all school subjects. The Employment The position is a permanent employment at 80-100% beginning with a 6-month probationary period. Start date is August 10, 2026. Position Description We are looking for you to work as a teacher in grade 2 with Lgr 22 as a natural foundation and Waldorf pedagogy as method and approach. You will be part of a team working together so that students reach their full potential. As a class teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating student instruction, individually and together with colleagues, student wellbeing and school leadership. You should also foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians through meetings and documentation. Qualifications State teacher certification or Waldorf teacher certification. You have a gift for creating a creative environment for students, where relationship-building is a natural part of daily life You have the ability to spark curiosity and wonder in your students Knowledge of and/or interest in Waldorf pedagogy and the desire to develop as a teacher and person Several years of experience in the profession is an asset Application If you are ready to take on a challenge and make a positive difference in your students' lives, submit your application consisting of a cover letter and your CV to [email protected].
