JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher, you will have a principal as your immediate supervisor and work as part of a team with your colleagues led by a team leader. In your role as a teacher, you have responsibility for: • planning, implementing, following up, and evaluating instruction based on the school's governing documents. • participating in collaborative learning to enable joint planning, assessment, and grading. • participating in individual and collective school/professional development based on student needs. • writing comments, individual development plans, assessments, and other documentation. • actively contributing in team meetings, subject area meetings, teams, working groups, staff meetings, and workplace gatherings. • mentorship with regular student/parent contacts, development conversations, and class/parent meetings. • participating in systematic quality work and development work based on national and local governing documents. • preventing, investigating, and handling problematic absences and promoting regular attendance. • adapting learning environments and supporting students with guidance and stimulation, additional accommodations, and contributing to investigations. • participating in values-based work to promote safety and order and prevent bullying and harassment. • managing school-social and unplanned student incidents, such as during recess supervision and pedagogical lunches. • contributing to the development of the school's digital work and integration of digital tools in instruction. Job Description: In your role as a teacher, you are expected to work based on a shared understanding of the organization's mission, where children's and young people's best interests, needs, and wishes are central. Through your professional skills and active collaboration, you contribute to ensuring each child's and student's entire educational journey. Your effort in daily interaction and dialogue with students, guardians, and colleagues is crucial to achieving the goal of equitable education and instruction of high quality where all children and students succeed. You are expected to take full responsibility for the results achieved, both academically and socially, and contribute to safe and inclusive education and instruction. Ultimately, the mission is to ensure that each child and student receives the best possible education and instruction, based on both national and local governing documents and the school's knowledge and values-based mission. You will become part of an environment with competent employees and engaged school leaders who together work to create successful accessible learning environments. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with completed teacher education with qualifications and certification, which is a basic requirement for the position. You have good knowledge of the School Act, the curriculum (Lgr22), and other relevant governing documents and can apply these in your daily work. Experience with instruction and work using language and knowledge-developing methods is a merit, especially if you have experience working with students in need of support or in multilingual and multicultural environments. You are comfortable using and integrating digital tools in instruction and have experience with digital platforms for pedagogical work and documentation. Additionally, you have the ability to create safe and inclusive learning environments that promote order, well-being, and student health. Employment Type: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-10-05. Start date at commencement date or by agreement. 6-month probationary period.
