Welcome to us Midsommarkransens gymnasium is located in the heart of Midsommarkransen within walking distance to Södermalm and currently has approximately 770 students. An important part of our profile is that we offer NIU (Nationally Approved Sports Education). Many of our students develop their sport at elite level while completing their upper secondary education here. Most people working at the school are teachers, but we also have caretakers, counselors, school nurses, special education teachers, career advisors, administrative staff, school librarians, and principals. Motivation, enthusiasm, and commitment are guiding principles for our school, both for students and adults. Your role We are now looking for a Swedish and Religion teacher at our upper secondary school. This is a substitute position for the entire school year at 50% capacity. You will teach students in our Social Sciences program as well as our Child and Leisure Studies program. Mentoring a group of students may be part of your role. You will be part of one of our work teams. Your competence and experience We are looking for you who is a certified teacher in Swedish with the qualifications to teach at upper secondary level. Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination. To work at our schools, you must provide a valid police clearance certificate before an employment offer is made. Within the Education Administration, we apply individual salary setting regulated by HÖK and General Provisions (AB). As a person, you are confident, stable, have self-awareness, and are a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and maintain good relationships with both students and colleagues. You plan, organize, and analyze student learning and your teaching structure in an efficient manner.
