JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher, you will have a principal as your direct supervisor and you will be part of a work team together with your colleagues led by a team leader. In your role as a teacher, you have responsibility for: • planning, implementing, following up on, and evaluating instruction based on the school's governing documents. • participating in collegial learning to enable co-planning, assessment, and grading. • participating in individual and collective school/professional development based on student needs. • writing reports, individual development plans, assessments, and other documentation. • actively contributing in work teams, subject teams, teams, working groups, staff meetings, and workplace meetings. • mentorship with regular student/parent contact, development discussions, and class/parent meetings. • participating in systematic quality work and development work based on national and local governing documents. • preventing, investigating, and managing problematic absences and promoting regular attendance. • adapting learning environments and supporting students through guidance and stimulation, additional accommodations, and contributing to investigations. • participating in values-based work to promote safety and academic focus and prevent bullying and harassment. • managing school social issues and unplanned student incidents, such as during recess and educational lunches. • contributing to the development of the school's digital work and integration of digital tools in instruction. Position Description: In your role as a teacher, you are expected to work based on a shared understanding of the organization's mission, where the best interests, needs, and wishes of children and young people are central. Through your professional skills and active participation, you contribute to ensuring each child's and student's complete educational journey. Your contribution in daily interaction and dialogue with students, guardians, and colleagues is crucial to achieving the goal of equitable education and instruction of high quality where all children and students can succeed. You are expected to take overall responsibility for the results achieved, both academically and socially, and contribute to safe and inclusive education and instruction. Ultimately, the mission is about ensuring that each child and student receives the best possible education and instruction based on both national and local governing documents and the school's knowledge and values-based mission. You will become part of a setting with competent colleagues and engaged school leaders who work together to create successful accessible learning environments. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with completed teacher training with credentials and certification, which is a basic requirement for the position. You have good knowledge of the Education Act, the curriculum (Lgr22), and other relevant governing documents and can apply these in your daily work. Experience with instruction and work using language and knowledge-developing methods is a merit, especially if you have experience working with students in need of support or in multilingual and multicultural environments. You are comfortable using and integrating digital tools in instruction and have experience with digital platforms for pedagogical work and documentation. In addition, you have the ability to create safe and inclusive learning environments that promote academic focus, well-being, and student health. Employment Form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: August 11, 2026. Start at the start date or by agreement. 6-month probation period.
