JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher, you will have a principal as your direct supervisor and will be part of a work team with your colleagues led by a team leader. In your role as a teacher, you have responsibility for: • Planning, implementing, following up, and evaluating instruction based on the school's governing documents. • Participating in collegial learning to enable co-planning, assessment, and grading. • Participating in individual and collective school/professional development based on student needs. • Writing assessments, individual development plans, evaluations, and other documentation. • Actively contributing in work teams, subject teams, teams, working groups, staff meetings, and workplace meetings. • Mentoring through regular student/parent contacts, development conversations, and class/parent meetings. • Participating in systematic quality work and development efforts based on national and local governing documents. • Preventing, investigating, and managing problematic absence while promoting regular attendance. • Adapting learning environments and supporting students with guidance and stimulation, additional accommodations, and contributing to investigations. • Participating in value-based work to promote safety and academic focus while preventing bullying and harassment. • Managing school social issues and unplanned student incidents during, for example, recess supervision and pedagogical lunches. • Contributing to the development of the school's digital work and integration of digital tools in instruction. You are expected to take overall responsibility for the results achieved, both academically and socially, and to contribute to a safe and inclusive education and instruction. Ultimately, the assignment is about ensuring that each child and student receives the best possible education and instruction, based on both national and local governing documents and the school's knowledge and values-based mission. You will become part of an environment with competent colleagues and engaged school leaders who together work to create successful accessible learning environments. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has completed teacher education with certification and licensure, which is a basic requirement for the position. You have good knowledge of the School Act, the curriculum (Lgr22), and other relevant governing documents and can apply them in your daily work. Experience with instruction and working with language and knowledge development methods is advantageous, especially if you have experience working with students in need of support or in multilingual and multicultural environments. You are comfortable using and integrating digital tools in instruction and have experience with digital platforms for pedagogical work and documentation. Additionally, you have the ability to create safe and inclusive learning environments that promote academic focus, well-being, and student health. Employment Type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: August 11, 2026. Start at the start date or by agreement. 6-month probationary period.
