Job Duties
As a teacher in a special education group, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction in Swedish/Social Studies or Math/Science, or a combination of these subjects, in accordance with Lgr22 and other curriculum documents. Depending on your qualifications, instruction in other subjects may also be relevant.
The position involves teaching in our special education group "Novagruppen". Therefore, collaboration with colleagues, students, guardians, and other relevant stakeholders is important in order to create a safe and developmental environment for students.
The job duties include planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction both individually and in collaboration with work teams and other colleagues. An important part of the work is to systematically monitor students' academic progress. You work according to current procedures for individual development plans and written assessments.
As a teacher in a special education group, you are part of our resource team where the focus is on creating conditions for students in need of special support to develop and manage the complex nature of the school day.
You work to create a classroom environment where all students can succeed based on their individual circumstances. In consultation with the student support team, you also work to ensure that relevant measures are implemented for students in need of additional support.
You are also responsible for maintaining good oversight and care of your students' school day and social situation as a whole, which may involve contact with other authorities and agencies.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a teacher's license and qualifications to teach Swedish/Social Studies or Math/Science at the middle school level.
You have the ability to lead and motivate students and create a safe and educational classroom environment with engaged and participating students. Your leadership is characterized by clarity and structure. For the work to be successful, you need to have good collaboration skills and be relationship-building, as good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues are fundamental to the work.
You need to have the ability to adapt your instruction based on results, evaluations, and the individual student's needs. To achieve this, you need to have a good understanding of how different students learn and have the ability to adapt your teaching methods at both group and individual levels.
The job duties as a teacher in a special education group require that you possess personal maturity and the ability to distinguish between the personal and professional. You also need to be stable and composed in stressful or pressured situations, as well as flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
You understand the importance of working toward the school's overall goals and following established routines, guidelines, and decisions, and you work loyally for the benefit of the organization.
Experience working in teams and experience with instruction are important. We would also like to see that you have knowledge and experience working with Office applications as these are used frequently in the work.
