The Position and Responsibilities We are looking for someone passionate about science subjects and driven by subject development. You are committed to staying current as a teacher in your subjects through environmental awareness and professional development. In your role, you teach science in grades 7-9 and related tasks such as preparing for and following up on lessons and grading. You are part of a team and participate in the team's collaborative work. You actively participate in the school's values-based work and work inclusively. Mentorship is a central part of your role through social contact around students and classes, contact with guardians, absence management and development conversations, and cooperation with authorities and social services. In your role, you collaborate with the student support team. You are expected to be able to work with digital tools in your teaching. With us, you also have the opportunity to take responsibility for the science department, which means driving subject development forward in collegial collaboration. What We Offer Trädgårdsstadsskolan is an F-9 school with approximately 700 students from F-9 and is located in Tullinge, Botkyrka Municipality. You As An Applicant Requirements: - Teacher certification with authorization to teach science grades 7-9 - Previous experience working with grades 7-9 with mentorship - Documented strong subject knowledge - Good collaboration skills and a professional approach - You enjoy working in teams and contributing to the school's collective development - Very good language skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Language testing is conducted according to Botkyrka Municipality guidelines. Meritorious: - Authorization in Technology - Previous experience with department/subject responsibility - Experience teaching in primary school where you adapt instruction to students' different needs - Competence in digital tools and learning platforms, such as V-Klass, Google Classroom, or similar - Education or experience in science-related projects As a person, you are interested in staying current and are at the forefront in your subjects. You are passionate about school development and driven by seeing students achieve good results. You are relationship-building and collaboration-oriented to meet the needs of the individual and the organization. You also need to be organized to conduct high-quality instruction.
