The Children and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Committee and Primary School Committee. The Administration is responsible for preschool activities, school childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important mission is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. Kästa School is an F-6 school with just over 300 students, including Adapted Primary School. The school was built in 2015, which means we have both modern indoor facilities and inspiring outdoor environments. We have qualified teachers and a well-functioning student health team.
We invest heavily in our after-school program, where we divide it into five different work teams.
All to be able to see and meet each student based on their needs.
Kästa School is a PAX school, which means we work systematically with order and focus throughout the school. PAX is also health-promoting and preventive work as students develop skills that increase their chances of succeeding in life.
About the Position
As a teacher for the after-school program, you will collaborate with all school staff, guardians, and external partners. In your work, you will drive the after-school activities forward through clear planning based on central content. You will have expanded pedagogical responsibility for the school's after-school program, where you plan, implement, and evaluate our activities.
Breaks are an important thing for students' recovery, so it is also important for us in school management to invest in this. You should be interested in outdoor pedagogy. You are also one of the school's "substitute staff" during staff absences.
About You
We are looking for you who are trained as a teacher for after-school programs. You have documented experience of work with after-school programs and have good knowledge of the curriculum. You have a strong commitment and interest in creating the best conditions for students.
You are analytical, structured, and goal-oriented. You are communicative and inspiring. You have a great interest in outdoor pedagogy.
You are flexible in your working style and find it easy to collaborate with both colleagues and school management. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
