The Department of Children and Education operates on behalf of the Preschool Board and Primary School Board. The department is responsible for preschool activities, school aftercare, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important mission is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. Kästaskolan is an F-6 school with just over 300 students, including Adapted Primary School. The school was built in 2015, which means we have both modern indoor facilities and inspiring outdoor environments. We have qualified teachers and a well-functioning student health team.
We invest heavily in our aftercare program, where we divide the aftercare into five different teams.
All to be able to see and meet each student based on their needs.
Kästaskolan is a PAX school, which means we work systematically with study focus throughout the school. PAX is also health-promoting and preventive work as students develop skills that increase their chances of success in life.
About the Role
As a teacher for aftercare, you collaborate with all school staff, guardians, and external partners. In your work, you will drive the aftercare activities forward through clear planning based on the central curriculum content. You will have expanded pedagogical responsibility for the school's aftercare program on AGR, where you plan, implement, and evaluate our activities. Breaks are an important part of students' recovery; therefore, it is also important for school leadership to invest in it—you should be interested in outdoor pedagogy. You are also one of the school's substitute teachers during staff absences.
About You
We are looking for someone who is trained as an aftercare teacher. You have documented experience working in the aftercare program on AGR and have good knowledge of the curriculum.
You have experience working with clarifying pedagogy and alternative communication.
You have strong commitment and interest in creating the best conditions for students. You are analytical, structured, and goal-oriented. You are communicative and inspiring. You have a great interest in outdoor pedagogy.
You are flexible in your work approach and collaborate easily with both colleagues and school leadership. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
