DUTIES
As a teacher in the after-school program, you share responsibility with your colleagues to ensure that teaching in the after-school department meets the requirements outlined in the after-school program's governing documents. You work together with the entire department's staff to make education varied with both guided and free activities, and to offer and use different materials and learning environments to stimulate students' desire to play, live, and learn. You are responsible for making teaching in the after-school program goal-oriented. You work to promote students' social development while simultaneously working practically for students to achieve their learning goals, seeing this as a natural part of daily activities. You are part of a grade-level team during the school day, where you support each other with daily school work and collectively drive the development of teaching and activities. During school hours, you work in a classroom or special instruction group, and in the afternoons at the after-school program.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a certified teacher with Swedish teaching certification and are eligible to teach in after-school programs.
Previous work for at least one school year in a Swedish school is meritorious.
We expect you to have very good knowledge, both spoken and written, of the Swedish language.
It is meritorious to have expertise in language development working methods, sign support, alternative and augmentative communication, experience working with students who need special support, and picture support.
You are skilled at giving students the opportunity to continue their knowledge development during after-school by working across subjects with a focus on integrating mathematics and language learning. You work with the student group as a strength, recognizing that differences enrich. You believe in collective learning where the individual is an asset to the group and learning situations. You use a curious, joyful, and playful approach to work. You are well versed in the after-school program curriculum and build activities based on it. You have a talent for creating trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
You are expected to be organized, analytical, and work in a goal-oriented manner. You want to actively participate in developing our unit and create a compensatory school that benefits all students. You have great commitment, willingly participate in pedagogical discussions, and see opportunities for both colleagues and students. You are cooperative, flexible, and independent. You enjoy working in teams and have a talent for creating relationships and communicating with colleagues, students, and parents.
Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Start date: 2026-08-10, End date: 2027-06-17.
Work time: Daytime.
