We are now seeking a certified teacher of wood and metal craft for grades 3–9. About the Position As a teacher of wood and metal craft at IES Kista, you will: - Teach wood and metal craft to students in grades 3–9 in accordance with the Swedish curriculum (Lgr22). - Be knowledgeable and passionate about your subject and inspire students in both technical skill and design. - Be a trusted leader in the craft room with a focus on safety and a calm learning environment. - Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that combine theory with practical craftsmanship. - Adapt and differentiate your instruction to challenge and support students at different levels. - Collaborate with colleagues in the aesthetic subject area to create an inspiring learning environment. - Contribute to the school's positive and international atmosphere. - As a mentor to 16 students, support them in reaching their full potential, regardless of background. Qualifications - Teaching degree and certification in craft with a focus on wood and metal for grades 3–9. - Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English. - Experience teaching in an international or bilingual environment is a merit. - A structured, safety-conscious, and professional approach to teaching and teamwork.
