Bergsnässkolan is the small school in central Avesta. Today, approximately 230 students attend here. The school's size is one of our many strengths! All of the school's teachers and students work in close collaboration with each other, and we maintain high quality instruction combined with a strong sense of safety and well-being.

Job Responsibilities
Bergsnässkolan is investing in a two-teacher system! This means the opportunity to have multiple teachers in the classroom or to work with smaller groups of students. Therefore, we are now looking for teachers with qualifications in core subjects to further expand our teacher ratio.
You will be part of this effort to increase teacher density. Working together with your colleagues, the work is structured. This creates the opportunity to have two teachers in the classroom or to divide student groups, enabling work with smaller groups.
You are responsible for, in collaboration with your teaching colleagues, planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction at the intermediate level, in accordance with Lgr22 and other governing documents. We are looking for someone qualified in Math/Natural Sciences.
An important part of the work is systematically monitoring students' academic development. You work according to established procedures for individual development plans and written assessments.
You strive to create a classroom situation where all students can succeed according to their abilities. In consultation with the student support team, you also work to ensure that relevant interventions are implemented for students in need of additional support.
You are also responsible for maintaining good oversight and care of your students' school day and social situation as a whole, which may include contact with other authorities and agencies.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who holds teacher certification and is qualified to teach at the intermediate level. You are qualified in Math/Natural Sciences.
You have the ability to lead and motivate students and create a safe and educational classroom environment with engaged and participatory students. Your leadership is characterized by clarity and structure. For the work to be successful, you need to have good collaboration skills and be relationship-focused, as good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues are fundamental to the work.
You need the ability to adapt your teaching based on results, evaluations, and the individual student's needs. To achieve this, you need a good understanding of how different students acquire knowledge and the ability to adapt your teaching approach at both group and individual levels.
The teaching position requires that you possess personal maturity and the ability to distinguish between the personal and professional. You also need to be stable and composed in stressful or pressured situations, as well as flexible and able to adapt readily to changing circumstances.
You understand the importance of working toward the school's overarching goals and following established procedures, guidelines, and decisions, and you work loyally for the benefit of the organization.
