Praktiska Gymnasiet in Kalmar Praktiska Gymnasiet in Kalmar is the small school where vocational education is the focus—we educate for the future. We currently offer 9 different programs with several specializations. We train sailors, car mechanics, electricians, childcare workers, nursing assistants, facility managers, carpenters, and painters. The school is characterized by a strong sense of community where everyone is seen and heard. Your Assignment This is a fixed-term position, and its duration and scope may vary over time. You will teach and mentor our students across all of our vocational programs. Your responsibilities include planning and delivering instruction in subjects such as English, Swedish, history, social studies, and religion. Together with colleagues, you will be part of a team consisting of vocational teachers, upper secondary teachers, and educational assistants. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject, with students at the center and in collaboration with colleagues. Beyond subject-specific teaching, like all teachers at the school, you will take on roles including mentoring and will coach students alongside your colleagues in both social and academic development throughout their three years at Praktiska Gymnasiet. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft and work in a Google environment through sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans. This applies equally to both students and colleagues. Your Profile We are looking for someone who is a teacher, a teacher-in-training, or has equivalent experience/education. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs.
