With approximately 1,200 students, Lerum Upper Secondary School is an attractive and popular school with a strong value foundation focusing on safety, presence, and challenges. The school is characterized by breadth and depth. We have nine national programs, upper secondary special education, and IM, divided into five school units, each led by a rector. The school also has an administrative director and a business manager for coordination. Teachers are organized in work teams around students in the different programs. JOB DUTIES We are looking for a confident and creative teacher for the Introduction Programs where you will have your workplace and belonging. In addition to teaching your subjects, you will hold study sessions and participate in our two-teacher system where you support students in others' classes. You work closely with your work team on IM and are also part of a subject group that meets regularly for knowledge exchange. On IM, observations and pedagogical discussions are a natural part of teaching development. The assignment also includes shared mentorship of a class together with one of your closest colleagues. Mentorship is a major part of the work on IM, with frequent communication with mentor students, guardians, student support services, and other stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a certified teacher. We place particular emphasis on you having didactic competence and actively working with adaptations in learning environments and being experienced with students in need of support. It is important that you are a pronounced team player who, together with your colleagues in the work team, works for students to progress as far as possible in their knowledge and personal development. Your mentorship is characterized by strong commitment to the whole person and you understand the value of active mentorship in contact with the student and with guardians. You see collaboration with other teachers and student support services as a natural part and a prerequisite for developing your teaching to meet students' needs.
