At By School and Johan-Olovskolan, we are seeking a physical education teacher. The position involves responsibility for teaching physical education and health, primarily in grades 1-6. As a physical education teacher, you plan, implement, and evaluate instruction both individually and collaboratively with your work team. An important part of the work is to systematically monitor students' academic progress, both formatively and summatively, according to current guidelines. Your responsibilities include collaborating with other teachers to adapt instruction based on students' different needs and circumstances. We are looking for someone who can motivate, create engagement and participation, while being a clear leader. You are confident in yourself and through your leadership and organizational skills, you create a safe and educational learning environment. We are convinced that clear structure, order and organization, combined with attentiveness and care, bring out the best in our students. Good judgment and high integrity are important to us, as we want you to be a positive role model for students—not just following established routines but also making decisions with ethical consideration. We are looking for someone who is communicative and able to build trusting relationships with colleagues, students, guardians, and other stakeholders involved in students' development. Your pedagogical strength is the ability to adapt instruction based on results, evaluations, and individual student needs. To achieve this, you need a good understanding of how different people process information and knowledge, and the ability to adapt your teaching methods at both group and individual levels. A permanent position requires teacher certification. Another pedagogically oriented degree or experience working with instruction at the primary school level is required.
