We are now seeking a qualified German language teacher - 60% employment starting Fall 2026. Can possibly be combined with another subject if you have additional qualifications, for example Mathematics.
Job Description
Work as a teacher in grades 6-9. You will be part of a team of teachers who teach modern languages. Your work includes planning, conducting, and following up on your instruction according to LGR22. You also have a mentorship role, which means you have overall responsibility for students' academic development. You maintain close dialogue with students' guardians and conduct development meetings.
We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference in students' lifelong learning. Our activities are characterized by a positive approach and we have strong confidence in students' abilities. A strong value foundation and positive view of students is very important to us. Together with your colleagues, you work to create a safe, structured, developmental, and stimulating learning environment for students. You work together in a team with teacher colleagues, educational assistants, and leisure-time staff. Our mission is to together guide and support students in their social and academic development. In the team, educators help each other with planning, instruction, and the students' school day.
Who Are You?
You have a Swedish teaching degree with a focus on Modern Languages - German, and Swedish teacher certification. You have clear pedagogical insight and the ability to implement the curriculum's goals in your work. You have clear leadership and are confident in your student groups. You are flexible, organized, and well-prepared. You are a present and co-inquiring educator who challenges and stimulates students toward development. A strong belief in collaboration as a success factor for pedagogical development is self-evident for you. You have direct and humble communication with guardians and build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
You should be positive and collaborative and willing to join an international team.
In your role, you teach in Swedish/German, but among colleagues we speak English/Swedish. This means you need to master both languages fluently, both in speech and writing.
