About Amerikanska Gymnasiet, Gothenburg On Lindholmen, next to Karlatower, is our newly built school, which we moved into in fall 2024. The school has approximately 600 students studying in the Natural Sciences, Technology, Economics, or Social Sciences programs. Teaching is conducted in both Swedish and English by a competent and dedicated teaching team with a strong sense of community. About the Role We are looking for a German teacher to teach our students ahead of the next school year. You are passionate about teaching and want to help develop language instruction at the school. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating your own instruction. You are expected to lead lessons according to our pedagogical structure, for which you will receive guidance. You will work closely with an engaged and conscientious teaching team, where collaboration and collegial learning are an integral part of everyday work. You will teach in a digital environment using digital learning materials combined with traditional literature. The position is a permanent employment at 30%, with teaching scheduled for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Employment begins with a 6-month probationary period. Start date August 3, 2026, or by agreement. Your Profile The position requires a Swedish teaching certificate and authorization to teach German at the upper secondary level. It is also highly desirable if you have experience teaching German, preferably at the upper secondary level. With your energy, responsiveness, and perseverance, you easily engage and create participation toward commonly set goals. Teamwork and transparency are key principles. You are expected to have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. You have the ability to use a wide range of digital learning tools and possess solid digital competence. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
