About Vårby RO
Vårby RO consists of three schools: Grindstuskolan F-3, Vårbackaskolan F-3, and Vårbyskolan 4-9. The schools have one principal and three assistant principals, and collaboration between units takes place at all levels. Vårby schools are located in Vårby Gård, a green and beautiful area along the red subway line. Approximately 550 students attend Vårby schools. This position will be at Vårbyskolan, which currently has approximately 240 students.

Job Responsibilities
You will teach wood and metal crafts and be part of a grade-level team during the fall term 2026, while the regular teacher is on leave.
You possess the ability to build good relationships with those you meet in the organization: students/student groups, guardians, colleagues, and school leadership. We work with collaborative learning, which means you cooperate with colleagues to develop yourself and your teaching as well as the school's pedagogical work.
This position is a fixed-term employment from 2026-08-10 to 2026-10-23, with possible extension depending on when the regular teacher returns to service. The position will be filled pending necessary approvals. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the advertisement period, as we are keen to find a skilled teacher well before the school year begins.
Qualifications
Primary school teacher degree and teaching certification for grades 3-9 with authorization to teach wood and metal crafts. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability related to the position's mission.
It is also an asset if you have previously worked in multicultural areas, particularly in the Vårby principal area. Since most of our students have a first language other than Swedish, a language-development approach is a requirement, both for teaching and special education work at the school, as well as the willingness and ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect.
Your Profile
You have good collaboration skills, find it easy to build relationships and cooperate with students, guardians, the school's work team, student welfare team, and school leadership.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability, but you must be a certified teacher with authorization to teach the subjects and grades specified above in this advertisement. You are well acquainted with LGR22 and have good digital competence and a very good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
We are looking for someone who is unpretentious, flexible, and has a solution-focused approach.
