Vallbacksskolan serves approximately 550 students in grades 7–9 as well as in adapted primary school grades 7–9. We also have a smaller teaching group focused on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) for students in grades 7–9. RESPONSIBILITIES Do you want to awaken creative joy and creativity in the next generation? We are seeking an engaged woodworking and metalworking teacher who wants to help develop instruction in a subject that combines creativity, craftsmanship skills, and problem-solving. Your tasks include planning, implementing, and following up on instruction in accordance with current curriculum standards, and creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment for all students. You challenge and support students so they achieve good academic results and adapt your instruction based on all students' needs and circumstances. The work is carried out in collaboration with other educators, student support services, guardians, and other actors outside the school. QUALIFICATIONS In this role, you actively contribute to a culture where we collectively take responsibility for creating the best conditions for student learning and development. You enjoy sharing your ideas, embracing others' perspectives, and view collegial learning as a natural part of your assignment. We are looking for someone who: • Has teaching certification with qualification to teach woodworking and metalworking in grades 7-9. If the position is expanded to full-time, teaching in grades 3-6 at another school may be relevant, making such qualification an advantage. • Is familiar with and knowledgeable about the primary school curriculum. • Is able to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in work involving dialogue with colleagues, guardians, and students. • Has experience and knowledge of working with digital tools. To succeed in this role, you have: • A natural ability to lead and motivate students and to help them feel comfortable and well. • The ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and maintain a good and unpretentious approach to collaboration. • An inclusive work style that makes each student feel belonging and security. • The ability to create calm and clarity in both groups and when working with individual students. • The ability to plan and organize your work well.
