We are now seeking a pedagogue in textile crafts for Vindelälvsskolan in Sorsele municipality. For this position, we apply continuous selection, which means the position can be filled earlier. Job Responsibilities: As a textile crafts teacher, you are responsible for planning and delivering creative and student-centered instruction in textile crafts for grades 3–9. You develop materials and assignments adapted to different needs, assess students' work, and provide constructive feedback. You create a safe and inclusive learning environment, collaborate with colleagues both within and outside textile crafts, and participate in the school's development work. The work involves meeting students with varying prerequisites through a formative approach, strengthening their entrepreneurial abilities, and encouraging them to try, reconsider, and implement their own ideas. The position may also include shared mentorship and could potentially be combined with other part-time positions in the municipality. Your Qualities: You are a courageous person who spreads joy and treats others with respect. You are passionate about promoting students' creativity and practical skills and create a positive, supportive learning environment where everyone feels safe. As an excellent communicator, you work well with students, colleagues, and guardians, and you use your creativity and commitment to share your knowledge in textile crafts. In your teaching, you are responsible, clear, and structured, while maintaining a positive and solution-focused approach. You are inspired by young people's curiosity and engagement and contribute to active and meaningful learning for each student. Competencies/Qualifications - Requirements: To become part of our dedicated team at Vindelälvsskolan, we are looking for someone with relevant education in textile crafts, design, or equivalent, along with teaching credentials for instruction up to grade 9. Your experience teaching textile subjects enables you to inspire and motivate students in their creative processes, and your pedagogical abilities help you meet different learning styles and adapt instruction to each student's needs. Your ability to inspire a desire to create and learn is an important part of our work in offering high-quality instruction. It is also meritorious if you have training to mentor teacher students or competence in NPF (special education), as this further strengthens our collective ability to meet all students in the best way. If you are not formally qualified, your experience and knowledge may still meet our requirements for this temporary position. Personal Suitability: We particularly value that you have a professional approach, good collaboration skills, and commitment that contributes to a safe and developmental learning environment. Duration/Working Hours: Temporary position. Part-time 50%. The position may potentially be expanded with other assignments if necessary decisions are made. Our teacher will be on leave around week 40, and we plan for you to work in parallel for two to three weeks. The temporary position therefore runs from 2026-09-07 through 2027-06-17.
