Description Are you interested in school development and want to help develop teaching in our Special Education Group (SU) at Påvelundsskolan upper secondary level? We are looking for a teacher in Swedish and Social Studies subjects for grades 7-9 in our special education group. Our 17 students in the SU group need structure and clarity in their school day. Påvelundsskolan is an elementary school with approximately 1100 students, from preschool class through grade 9, plus adapted primary education in grades 1-6. Key success factors for Påvelundsskolan are good cooperation between home and school, high expectations, engaged and competent staff, and motivated students. Responsibilities Working in our SU group requires high demands on flexibility, creativity, and an inclusive approach to teaching. Our students have varying needs and prerequisites, which makes it especially important that you feel confident in adapting the content, methods, and learning environment of your teaching to create good opportunities for each student to develop and reach their goals. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, and following up on instruction based on students' individual needs and the group's shared goals. The assignment includes continuously analyzing student learning and development and adapting instruction based on identified needs. Qualifications We are now looking for you who are a certified teacher with authorization to teach Swedish and Social Studies subjects in grades 7-9. For this position, we see that you have previous experience working with effective methods to meet a student group with great need for structure and considerable support. If you also have documented special education expertise, that is a plus. You have a good ability to build relationships with respect and care for the student. You create engagement in your students and see it as a challenge to get them to want to learn. You apply methods and approaches that make each student's learning visible to the student, and in your teaching you demonstrate this. You also have the ability to use and adapt different methods and tools within learning. You see the possibility for change and contribute to creating situations where new ideas and suggestions can be developed. In the supportive learning environment, you and your colleagues create clear structure throughout the day and lesson through, among other things, visual support, images, and text. We expect you to have a good ability to collaborate with others to develop both teaching and the broader operation. You practice and see each student's potential to develop as self-evident. If you are newly graduated, you will participate in the School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for newly certified teachers.
