JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This teaching position is primarily directed toward teaching Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and English at upper secondary level. Teaching at basic level and upper secondary subjects in Swedish as a Second Language and English at basic level may occur, as well as teaching in vocational training programs where we integrate SFI/Swedish as a Second Language with vocational subjects, what we call combination programs. Combination programs mean that you collaborate in planning and implementing instruction with vocational teachers. You shall have the national objectives in focus in your work where you systematically and continuously plan, monitor, and develop education based on each individual student's needs and conditions. You collaborate with your colleagues to develop each student to their full potential. You teach SFI and English at basic and upper secondary level. The position is permanent with a full-time employment rate of 100%. Start date in November 2026, subject to the necessary decisions being made. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Swedish as a Second Language and English. You are well familiar with the school's curriculum and governing documents. It is meritorious if you have experience working in adult education and with language integration. You shall focus on working based on students' different needs where you see opportunities and potential in each individual. For you it is natural to take responsibility for good educational practice and to always put the student at the center. You have good digital competence and can manage information, documentation, and use digital tools as a natural part of teaching. As a person you are secure and have a calm approach to interactions. Your working style is situation-adapted, you have an unpretentious approach, and a good ability to collaborate across subject boundaries. Personal suitability where good knowledge, flexibility, social competence combined with work enjoyment and creativity are important prerequisites for succeeding with the assignment.
