Järfälla Adult Education and Activity Responsibility conducts municipal adult education in both authorized and independent operations and works with the municipality's activity responsibility (KAA). The operations are divided between Youth and Adult Guidance, where focus lies on the application and admission process as well as KAA, and Järfälla Learning Center. Operations at the Learning Center consist of SFI, courses at basic and upper secondary level in Swedish as a second language, vocational training in care and social services, construction and restaurant, and food, as well as adapted adult education at basic and upper secondary level. Here, all kinds of people meet, with different backgrounds and goals for their studies. We are passionate about giving all adults new opportunities for education and work. At any given time, approximately 1,600 students study with us, both full-time and part-time. Our teaching staff consists of approximately 50 committed educators. In addition to these, the school has study administrators, special education teachers, community counselors, and study and career counselors. The school is centrally located in Jakobsberg within walking distance to both commuter train and bus. 2 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for teachers who are responsible, engaged, and familiar with curriculum documents. You should be interested in both student knowledge development and subject matter. As a teacher with us, you work in a team based on the clarified responsibility described in the curriculum. This means that together with school management and other colleagues, you lead and develop the school's daily activities for increased goal achievement. We consider it self-evident that you engage with current research while having a strong drive to systematically highlight and disseminate good examples. You will primarily be responsible for online teaching (distance education) in Swedish as a second language at upper secondary level within adult education. The assignment also includes student mentoring. Classroom teaching and evening teaching may also occur as part of the assignment. QUALIFICATIONS • Licensed teacher with certification to teach Swedish and/or Swedish as a second language at upper secondary level. • Have experience in adult education. • Proactive and flexible with strong problem-solving skills. • Able to collaborate easily with others, value colleagues' competence, and actively share your own knowledge. • Experienced in distance education and possess high digital competence, both technically and didactically. • Strong ability to analyze study results in relation to teaching and implement developmental measures. • Experienced in using relevant software and learning platforms (Google Classroom and Teams). • Ability to motivate and coach students toward good study results and positive knowledge development according to national curriculum documents. • Confident in leading and teaching student groups with varying levels of prior knowledge. • Your teaching is characterized by clarity pedagogy.
