We are now seeking two certified teachers for grades 4-5 with credentials to teach Swedish and mathematics!
Gamlestadsskolan is a grades F-9 school located in the historic Gamlestaden district, serving students primarily from the surrounding area and eastern Gothenburg. The Gamlestaden district is currently experiencing rapid expansion with several planned projects to become one of Gothenburg's major hubs for communication, housing, and services.
Gamlestadsskolan has approximately 550 students in grades F-9 and operates four after-school care programs for our youngest students. The school is organized to include smaller schools within the larger school to foster closer relationships and ensure all students feel seen. We actively work to create a sense of community where teachers and students together take responsibility for the school's environment and well-being.
Responsibilities
As a teacher with us, you will be part of a team that works together to develop and improve our operations. You are responsible for classroom instruction and collaborate with colleagues by both giving and receiving support to develop and improve teaching. You will work together with the team to develop co-teaching approaches that lead to increased student achievement.

Qualifications
We seek someone who is trained and certified as a teacher for grades 4-5 and is credentialed to teach Swedish and mathematics. Experience with co-teaching in the classroom is a merit.

As a newly graduated teacher, you will participate in the Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for newly qualified teachers. The introduction provides you with a network of other newly qualified teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.
