Description Elevator is a crisis school where Principals in the Elementary School Administration can temporarily place students in grades 6-9 who have disrupted safety and study conditions at their regular school. Students are placed at Elevator for 20 days or, in special circumstances, up to 40 days. During their placement at Elevator, instruction is provided in theoretical subjects based on planning from the student's regular school. The approach at Elevator is built on clarity and predictability with a strong focus on safety and study conditions. The student's education is at the center, along with an increased understanding of the student's school-social situation to ensure the best possible transition back to regular school. Elevator is part of the Unit for Coordinated Special Measures (SSI), led by a Unit Manager who also oversees Acute School Nordost, hospital education, hearing pedagogues, and instruction in protected housing. Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced and confident teacher for Acute School Elevator. As a Swedish language teacher at Elevator, you will have the opportunity to work together in an interdisciplinary team consisting of other subject teachers, special educators, and counselors to shape young people's futures by creating a stimulating and safe learning environment. We value a pedagogical, structured, and flexible teacher who can meet students' varied needs and abilities in often difficult school situations. As a Swedish language teacher, you will: Plan and conduct lessons that promote reading comprehension and communicative language use. Motivate and engage students in their learning process through inspiring instruction and varied methods. Encourage positive school behavior with a focus on respectful treatment and respect. Qualifications We are seeking an engaged and stable certified teacher for grades 7-9 in Swedish who is ready to inspire and motivate our students. You need to have experience working for several years at the middle school level with students who need special support. We would also appreciate it if you have competence in Swedish as a second language.
