An important part of our continued development is our integrated education programs, where language and vocational training are integrated to create effective pathways toward employment and further studies. We are now seeking a Swedish as a Second Language teacher who wants to combine teaching with a lead teacher assignment, with a particular focus on developing and launching integrated education programs. The position consists of approximately 50 percent teaching and 50 percent pedagogical development work as part of the lead teacher assignment. You will be part of our team for SFI and basic adult education but will work across organizational boundaries together with teachers in our vocational programs, other colleagues, and management. Work Tasks As a teacher, you teach approximately 50 percent of the position, primarily Swedish as a second language in adult education. Teaching can take place in SFI and at the basic level and can include both in-person instruction as well as flexible and digital teaching formats. The remaining approximately 50 percent consists of your lead teacher assignment. Here you have a special responsibility for leading and driving the pedagogical development of Campus Gislaved's integrated education programs. A central part of the assignment is to work together with language and vocational teachers to develop ways in which language and vocational skills can be integrated and strengthen each other in teaching. You will also be an important resource in planning, launching, and further developing new integrated education programs. Your lead teacher assignment includes: leading and driving pedagogical development work related to integrated education programs developing structures and methods for integrated language and vocational instruction supporting language and vocational teachers in joint planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching developing language and knowledge-building methods within vocational training identifying development needs and converting them into concrete measures initiating and leading collegial learning within the scope of the assignment monitoring developments and utilizing current research, proven experience, and best practices following up and evaluating methods and results as part of the organization's systematic quality work disseminating experiences, methods, and best practices within Campus Gislaved. The lead teacher assignment involves close cooperation with management and colleagues and gives you the opportunity to help shape how Campus Gislaved works with integrated education programs going forward. The basic employment is a permanent position as a teacher. The lead teacher assignment is time-limited. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a teaching degree, teacher certification, and the competence to teach Swedish as a Second Language. Competence in Swedish and/or additional subjects is a merit. You are a skilled and experienced teacher with a strong interest in adult learning and pedagogical development. You have the ability to see both the big picture and the practical conditions of teaching and can convert ideas and development needs into concrete methods. The lead teacher assignment requires that you can lead pedagogical processes and create engagement and participation without formal management responsibility. You share your knowledge and experience, initiate pedagogical discussions, and contribute to colleagues developing teaching together. It is particularly advantageous if you have experience with: integrated education programs or integrated language and vocational instruction teaching in municipal adult education leading pedagogical development work or development processes language and knowledge-building methods flexible learning and digital teaching teaching in SFI cooperation between education and working life.
