Description Katrinelundsgymnasiet and Bernadottegymnasiet together form Sweden's largest elite sports gymnasium. Here you will find several RIG (National Sports Gymnasium) and NIU (Nationally Approved Sports Education) programs, as well as a support team consisting of school physicians, physical therapists, school nurses, fitness trainers, and academic support staff. The schools have approximately 1400 students, of whom about half are elite sports students. If you would like to know more about our schools, please visit our websites. www.katrinelundsgymnasiet.se www.bernadottegymnasiet.se Duties We are seeking a specialized sports instructor with a focus on middle and long-distance running for our National Sports Gymnasium (RIG) and our Nationally Approved Sports Education (NIU) track and field program. The work consists of leading lessons in specialized sports with a focus on middle and long-distance running at Katrinelundsgymnasiet and Bernadottegymnasiet. You will plan, conduct, and evaluate students' track and field training in collaboration with other specialized sports teachers. You will be part of a network with Katrinelundsgymnasiet's other specialized sports teachers within RIG and NIU. Theoretical components and instruction will also be part of the assignment. Working hours are primarily scheduled during daytime on weekdays. However, weekend and evening work may occur, as activities are also governed by competitions, selections, and training camps. This is an hourly position with approximately 15 hours per week. Start date by agreement. Limited-term employment during the 2025/2026 school year, with possibility of extension. Qualifications You are a skilled coach with strong pedagogical ability and the capacity to instruct and develop students. We are primarily looking for someone with teacher certification and qualification to teach specialized sports. Those with other relevant education and experience that we deem equivalent are also welcome to apply. Previous experience coaching high school athletes is viewed positively. You are dedicated, positive, goal-oriented, and work well collaboratively with others. You enjoy working with young people and possess strong pedagogical competence. You need solid knowledge of club activities and association operations, as well as personal elite training experience and/or coaching positions at the junior, senior, and national team levels. You place the student at the center and work toward established goals both at the individual level and for the organization as a whole. You are organized and possess strong organizational skills; you plan, conduct, and evaluate training and instruction both in the short and long term. You are driven by the desire to educate and develop young people. As a person, you are flexible and work well collaboratively with colleagues and students.
