Hällsboskolan Kungsholmen in Stockholm admits students with severe language disorder from preschool class through grade 10. Our teaching focuses on language and communication. The goal is for students to have the conditions to reach educational objectives, be involved and active in various social contexts, and develop as individuals. We offer residential accommodations for students who cannot commute to school every day.

JOB DUTIES
We are seeking a substitute teacher to teach craft/woodwork.

At Hällsboskolan, all teaching is based on the Special Schools Ordinance and the primary or adapted primary school (special school) curriculum. Teaching, environment, and communication are adapted to each student's needs, and in accordance with curricula, course plans, and proficiency requirements, you adapt and design instruction and assess how effective different teaching strategies are, adjusting instruction accordingly.
Each individual student's needs and knowledge development are assessed, documented, and followed up.
As a teacher with us, you work with pedagogical assessment, documentation, adaptation of the learning environment, follow-up, and evaluation.
The work is led and organized so that a safe learning environment is created, and you create together with your colleagues opportunities for the student to follow their learning and development individually and in groups.
You collaborate with the school's other craft/woodwork teachers to provide students with high-quality craft/woodwork instruction.
Together with colleagues and parents, you maintain close collaboration around the students and actively participate in the school's contacts with the broader community, and wish to contribute to the school's development.
At Hällsboskolan, we work together in close collaboration in so-called grade level teams led by team leaders. During the school year, we have introduced an interdisciplinary thematic approach that we believe will benefit our students in their knowledge development.
We have skilled and engaged staff with high expertise. The language-developing approach is something that permeates our pedagogical work, and we have substantial student support team to assist, which includes, among others, a special education teacher, IT pedagogue, counselor, psychologist, school nurse, and speech-language pathologist.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking you who:
• Have experience working as a craft/woodwork teacher in primary school or equivalent.
• Have experience working with students with severe language disorder.
It is a merit if you:
• Have experience working with students within NPF.
• Have experience with TAKK.
• Have professional experience in teaching.
• Have experience working with newly arrived students' learning.
Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: By agreement. The position is a special fixed-term employment at 60%., expires: 2027-06-16.
