Skogsängsskolan is a newly built K-6 school with excellent facilities and a wonderful schoolyard. We have grown in recent years and currently have approximately 460 students organized in 3 parallel classes. We work together with a focus on collegial learning. We work preventively to create safety and good conditions for student learning in our multicultural school unit. We use differentiated and language-developing methods for higher goal achievement. The school has a comprehensive student support team including a counselor, school nurse, social pedagogue, special education teacher and special education specialist, with school psychologist and school physician available from central student services. To create safety and good study conditions, we place great emphasis on norms, values, and positive relationships. An important part of this work is our organized and well-functioning recess activities.

DUTIES
As a teacher in a special education group, you are responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating your teaching based on the curriculum. You create a safe and stimulating learning environment where student participation and desire to learn are central. You become part of the work team for grades 4-6 and collaborate closely with your colleagues on planning and implementation. You are a relational leader who builds positive relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues while maintaining clear structures in your teaching. You serve as a mentor for students in your class, conduct development meetings, and maintain contact with guardians regarding students' development in relation to learning goals and social aspects. With your knowledge and commitment, you help students develop and reach their goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a teacher's degree, preferably with a specialization in special education. You may also have an elementary teacher degree for grades 1-6. You must be certified to teach at the intermediate level in one of the subjects Swedish, social studies, or science and mathematics. We also hope you have experience teaching in special education groups. It's beneficial if you are experienced working within the current curriculum.
