Description Gärdsåsskolan is now seeking a teacher of Science-Technology and Mathematics for instruction at the secondary level. Gärdsåsskolan has large, bright, and spacious facilities with excellent accessibility via Kortedala torg. Gärdsåsskolan serves approximately 350 students in middle and upper secondary grades. Starting in the fall of 2026, we will become an F-9 school with approximately 600 students. To achieve high learning outcomes and continuously develop the school's operations, our educators are committed to professional development and staying current with the latest research. Regarding digitalization, our educators work in various ways using digital tools and learning materials. Students at the school have access to individual Chromebooks and work with Gleerups digital learning materials. You will plan, implement, and evaluate instruction in Science-Technology and Mathematics according to the current curriculum, based on students' needs and circumstances. The position also includes mentoring, and you are expected to maintain good communication with students, colleagues, and guardians. For newly graduated teachers, you will participate in the Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy orientation program for newly certified teachers. This orientation provides you with a network of other newly graduated teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher. Qualifications We are looking for a certified teacher with authorization to teach mathematics and science in grades 7-9. The role also requires strong command of Swedish in spoken and written form, thorough familiarity with curriculum guidelines, and good computer skills. As a person, you have the ability to act independently based on what the situation requires without needing support from others. You have the ability to make independent decisions within the scope of your assignment. Furthermore, you have the ability to work with others to accomplish tasks and reach goals.
