At Kunskapsskolan, we use a pedagogy that is personally designed and centered on each individual. Through our approach, we create close relationships between teachers and students, which provides the foundation for each student to achieve more than they themselves believe is possible. In an environment where students can be themselves and receive the right support and challenges, we create a school where both students and staff thrive and develop.
Kunskapsskolan Helsingborg is a primary school for grades 6–9 and currently has approximately 480 students. The school started in 2006 in a historic building by Slottshagsparken in the city center and is easily accessible by both bus and train. At our school, we have satisfied students who feel comfortable, feel safe, and achieve high academic results. We have high expectations, recognize the potential in each individual, and are driven by development.
For each student to reach their full potential, we need skilled teachers with great commitment to the students. In addition to being a subject teacher, you will also be a personal mentor to approximately twenty students, and you will have an individual mentoring conversation with each of your students every week. You help them plan and set goals for their studies and follow up on these goals together with both the students and their guardians.
At Kunskapsskolan, we emphasize teamwork. You are never alone with challenges and questions. We help each other plan work in work teams and subject teams. You teach in half-class groups of 12 students. There is great openness among teachers, and we share responsibility for our students.
To make your work easier and allow you to focus your time on students, we have gathered a large portion of our learning materials on our digital portal Kunskapsporten. For each subject, there are suggestions for approaches, assignments, and materials. You will also receive help and support with planning and assessments from our current music teacher, who will be present at the school in a different position.
Qualifications
We are seeking a music teacher for grades 6–9. You should be well familiar with LGR-22 and formative assessment.
