About Us
Vanadisskolan is a grades F–9 school where instruction is adapted for students with neuropsychiatric developmental variations, primarily autism spectrum disorder. The school serves students with comprehensive and persistent needs for special support.
The school is located in central Stockholm, which allows us to utilize the outdoor environment and take advantage of the cultural offerings in the area.
Individ och familjeinsatser AB, which is the school's governing body, also offers high-quality outpatient services to youth and families.
Your Role
As a teacher with us, your mission is to make the school day understandable, manageable, and meaningful. You teach music, crafts, and/or home and consumer studies for grades F–9 in both regular and adapted primary school.
Through clarifying pedagogy and visual support, you adapt instruction to each individual's needs. You work in a close team with the principal, student support services, and social pedagogues to create a predictable learning environment where students have the opportunity to succeed both academically and socially.
Who Are You?
We are looking for a certified teacher with credentials in music, crafts, and/or home and consumer studies. You are a relationship builder who meets students, guardians, and colleagues with professionalism and warmth.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience teaching and preferably working with students requiring comprehensive support.
Is confident in your professional role and has strong emotional resilience to handle challenging situations in a low-key manner.
Works structurally and recognizes the importance of following common methods to create security within the group.
Is solution-focused, creative, and thrives in a learning organization where collegial collaboration is key to success.
Qualifications
Teacher certification in music, crafts, and/or home and consumer studies.
Strong proficiency with digital tools in teaching.
Very good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish.
Thorough familiarity with the school's governing documents and knowledge of inclusive learning environments.
Candidates with a specialist teacher degree in intellectual disability (IF) are prioritized.
