Mathematics Teacher for the Introduction Program Västerbergslagens utbildningsförbund, VBU, is a municipal federation that provides upper secondary education, adult education, vocational higher education, and commissioned training. Your Responsibilities Teaching mathematics and several other science subjects and/or technology. In the introduction program, students study according to individual study plans and personal goals, which means you will not follow a class in the same way as in other upper secondary programs. Your teaching needs to be based on the individual's level and study goals. You need to test and reconsider your methods, and it is important that you are patient and skilled at explaining mathematics in different ways. You will be part of a team of engaged and knowledgeable colleagues. Together with the rest of the team, you are expected to develop working methods, approaches, and expand your pedagogical toolkit to meet all students based on their circumstances and give them the opportunity to progress as far as possible. VBU focuses on good relationships and a positive school culture where mentoring is an important part of the assignment. We have a well-functioning student support team. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and qualified to teach mathematics and several other science subjects and/or technology at the junior secondary and introduction program levels. You have good and deep subject knowledge and a broad pedagogical toolkit. You have several years of experience in teaching and mentoring. We are looking for you who see joy in adapting your teaching to students' different needs and circumstances. Furthermore, you have good digital competence and experience working with various digital platforms. About Employment Terms The position is a permanent employment with vacation service on a full-time basis starting in August 2026.
