Welcome to CSU Högalid 7-9!
As a teacher of mathematics, technology, and science subjects with us, you work closely with your colleagues in a team where collaboration around both students' social development and academic development is central. The unit has adapted teaching facilities separate from the rest of Högalidsskolan. Directly adjacent to the teaching facilities are staff work rooms. The unit has well-developed routines and structures for teaching and social development work, but we are constantly evolving. The team is led by one of the school's assistant principals.
The school is a municipal primary school located in Hornstull on western Södermalm. Approximately 860 students in grades F-9 work at the school. The school includes two central special education groups (CSU). The staff of the entire unit consists of a total of 130 people. School leadership consists of a principal, four assistant principals, and an administrative director.
Organizationally, the school is divided into grade-specific teams. The school's two CSU groups, CSU Högalid 1-6 and CSU Högalid 7-9, form two separate teams.
The school has a well-functioning Student Health service organized in a team consisting of two school nurses, a psychologist, a student counselor, a study and careers advisor, a special education teacher, and three specialist teachers. The principal is responsible for student health, but one of the assistant principals has personnel responsibility and operational responsibility for student health.
What we offer
We offer a well-functioning workplace that is open to ideas for further development. There is a good collaborative climate at the school, and the school has active and well-functioning cooperation with trade unions in the Cooperation Group.
The school has its own kitchen, and all employees are offered to eat a pedagogical meal in the school restaurant at a low cost. Every morning, staff and students can eat breakfast in the school restaurant. Monthly, the teams organize staff activities where the entire school can meet in the afternoon/evening.

Your role
CSU Högalid 7-9 is a Central Special Education Group within primary school that works with students with extraordinary support needs. Students are offered placement when schools in the city apply for placement through a central function at the Education Administration. Several of the students have diagnoses within neurodevelopmental disorders, both autism spectrum disorder and ADHD. As a teacher in CSU Högalid 7-9, you work in close collaboration with the team's teachers and resource educators. You teach the group's 15 students. The teaching requires a high degree of individual adaptation to the students' needs. The assignment includes mentoring with significant support work for some of the class's students and close dialogue with their guardians.
Your competence and experience
You are a certified teacher of mathematics, technology, and science subjects for grades 7-9.
You have good competence in adapting your teaching to students in need of special support.
Other
At least 3 years of experience teaching in the later years of primary school.
Meritorious
Experience working in a special education group.
Experience teaching students with neurodevelopmental disorders.
Competence as a specialist teacher or special education teacher.
