Job Responsibilities As a teacher of technology and mathematics, you will be assigned to one of the upper secondary school's work teams and have close collaboration with your colleagues. The position includes responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction as well as mentorship. You will also participate in collegial learning at the school. Through varied and adapted instruction, you provide the guidance and stimulation that individuals and groups need in their learning. In your role, you take into account each student's personal development, based on their own prerequisites. If you are newly certified, you will participate in the Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for newly certified teachers. The introduction gives you as a newly certified teacher a network with other newly certified teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher. Qualifications We seek you as a certified teacher with authorization to teach grades 7–9 in the subjects of technology and mathematics, but it is an asset if you also teach science. If you have previous teaching experience, we consider it an asset, but we also welcome newly certified teachers to apply. The position requires that you have a good ability to work together with others to complete tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you promote a respectful work environment.
