Description Önneredsskolan is an F-9 school in western Gothenburg located in a naturally beautiful area with close access to forests and the sea. Job Responsibilities We are now seeking a teacher for instruction in mathematics and natural sciences for grades 7–9. As a teacher at Önneredsskolan, you are passionate about teaching and guiding students toward established goals according to current curriculum and teaching plans. Your instruction is well-structured; you follow up on and analyze your teaching and student results. In your professional role, you are responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment. At our school, mathematics and natural sciences teachers work closely together to support one another with lesson planning and assessment to ensure consistency. Students at Önneredsskolan do not have natural sciences as a separate subject on the schedule; instead, they study one lesson per week each of chemistry, biology, and physics. Two classes are divided into three groups, which allows hands-on activities in all lessons. This academic year, the position includes chemistry, biology, and mathematics. Your assignment also includes serving as a mentor. Önneredsskolan 7–9 has six parallel classes in each grade level. We have two mentors in each class, and in our role as mentors, we work together to create the best conditions for students to thrive, develop, and feel safe. Staff in each grade level are organized into work teams that meet once per week. Resource staff and a representative from the school's student health team also attend these meetings. Qualifications You hold a teaching degree with certification to teach mathematics and natural sciences in grades 7–9. You are well familiar with the school's governing documents. You have solid knowledge of and enjoy working with digital learning materials in your instruction. As a person, you are attentive and have good collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and parents. You are creative, flexible, and capable of taking independent initiative.
