Description Welcome to Fiskebäcksskolan. We are seeking teachers who are qualified in mathematics and science at the upper secondary level. With us, you will work on developing instruction together with your colleagues. The position also includes mentorship responsibilities. Fiskebäcksskolan is a school serving grades F–9 with approximately 600 students and two classes per grade level. Responsibilities We offer an exciting, developmental, and meaningful assignment where you, together with dedicated colleagues, work to create the best conditions for student learning and development. Based on the curriculum's goals and values, you plan, implement, and evaluate instruction to ensure that all students receive meaningful, stimulating, and challenging education that promotes both knowledge development and personal growth. You are responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment where students are given the opportunity to develop their curiosity, creativity, and love of learning. Instruction is adapted based on students' different needs and circumstances, with the goal that each student can progress as far as possible in their knowledge development. The position includes planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of instruction in your subjects. The work occurs in close collaboration with your teacher colleagues, student support services, and other school staff. Through collegial learning, experience sharing, and joint development, you actively contribute to strengthening the quality of instruction and the school's continued development. Qualifications We are seeking you who are a certified primary/secondary teacher, or nearing completion of your certification, with qualifications to teach grades 7-9 in mathematics and science. If you are newly certified, you will be part of the Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for newly certified teachers. The introduction gives you, as a newly certified teacher, a network with other newly certified teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher. As a person, you are calm and stable and have the ability to create a safe environment for all students. You have the ability to build good relationships with students and demonstrate clear classroom leadership. You use methods to include all students and are willing to experiment and reconsider your methodology to meet the needs that exist. Your creativity is contagious and creates engagement and motivates learning. You are unpretentious and are happy to contribute ideas and new ways of thinking to move the operation forward.
