Description Welcome to Fiskebäcksskolan. We are seeking teachers who are qualified in math and science for middle school. With us, you will work on developing instruction together with your colleagues. The position also includes mentoring responsibilities. Fiskebäcksskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 600 students. The school has two parallel classes per grade level. At our school, we work to develop instruction so that all students feel safe and develop to their maximum potential based on their circumstances. We have students from preschool through grade 9. We focus on student development in a safe and creative learning environment. Job Responsibilities We offer an exciting and challenging assignment where you work with the goal that all students have a meaningful, stimulating, and engaging learning experience based on the curriculum. The position includes planning, implementation, and evaluation of instruction in your subjects, which takes place in collaboration with your teaching colleagues. Additionally, the position includes mentoring/homeroom leadership and participation in teaching teams. Together we work on safety and study environment, along with related responsibilities. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a certified elementary/middle school teacher, or near the end of your training, with the qualifications to teach grades 7-9, or alternatively with qualifications to teach grades 4-9 in math and science. As a person, you are calm and stable and have the ability to create a safe environment for all students. You have the ability to build good relationships with students and demonstrate clear leadership in the classroom. You use methods to include all students and are willing to try and reconsider your teaching methods to meet the needs that exist. Your creativity is contagious to others and creates engagement and motivation for learning. You are unpretentious and readily contribute ideas and new ways of thinking to move the activities forward. To give you the best possible start in the profession as a newly graduated teacher, you will participate in the School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for newly graduated teachers.
