About Amerikanska Gymnasiet, Uppsala The school is centrally located in the Luthagen area. The school is entering its fifth academic year this fall with approximately 220 students studying in the Natural Sciences, Business, or Social Sciences programs. Teaching is conducted in both English and Swedish by a competent teaching team with a strong sense of community. About the Role As a teacher, you will teach our students in mathematics and physics. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating your own instruction. You are expected to lead lessons based on our pedagogical structure, which you will receive guidance on. You will work closely with an engaged and conscientious teaching team, where collaboration and collegial learning are an integral part of daily work. You will teach in a digital environment with digital learning materials in combination with traditional literature. Teaching takes place in both Swedish and English. The position also includes mentoring a class. This is a permanent position at 70% with an initial probationary period of 6 months. Start date August 3, 2026, or by agreement. Your Profile The position requires a Swedish teacher certification and qualifications to teach mathematics and physics at the upper secondary level. It is also highly meriting if you have experience teaching at the upper secondary level. You are expected to have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
