We are now looking for a teacher of mathematics and another subject for the introduction programs at Alströmergymnasiet! Alströmergymnasiet has approximately 1450 students distributed across 13 national programs, adapted upper secondary school, and introduction programs. Currently, we are at the top in being the obvious choice for the municipality's young people when choosing upper secondary school, which we constantly strive to be.

WORK TASKS
As a mathematics teacher at Alströmergymnasiet, you will primarily teach in the introduction programs, but teaching in national programs may also occur. You will be an important part of a team that works closely together to create the best conditions for our students.
Your role includes teaching mathematics and another relevant subject, mentoring, and in collaboration with colleagues, developing and following up on individual study plans. You actively contribute to systematic quality work and participate in the development of the program's various specializations. Collaboration is a central part of our approach, and you are expected to contribute your expertise not only within your team but also in the school's collective work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who:
• are a certified upper secondary teacher with qualifications to teach mathematics, or alternatively a certified primary school teacher with qualifications to teach mathematics in the higher grades.
• have experience using digital platforms to support both teaching and assessment
Experience teaching newly arrived students and students with special support needs is a merit, as is previous work in introduction programs or similar activities.
To thrive and succeed in this role, you need a good understanding of students' different circumstances and be able to adapt your teaching based on their needs. As a teacher, you see the teaching mission as a whole, where teaching, mentoring, and social work with students are interconnected. You are flexible and find it easy to adapt your way of working when circumstances change, with students' learning and development in focus.
You enjoy working together with colleagues and see the value in shared teaching development, co-assessment, and experience exchange. Through close collaboration, you contribute to the activities' shared mission and see your own teaching as part of students' entire school journey.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
