Description Bräckegymnasiet provides education for students who want to work in the construction sector and is today one of Sweden's largest construction gymnasium schools. We offer the national building and construction program with twelve different vocational specializations. Students who have chosen the specialization toward construction engineer or architect can, after their vocational diploma, apply directly to technical college or enter the workforce with an apprenticeship certificate. For students who are not eligible for a national program, we offer education within the introduction program. Our education is conducted in close collaboration with the industry. With us, you will meet a school that continuously combines theory and practice. Our main idea is that we build professional pride, both for students and staff. We who work at the school have the overarching goal that our students succeed in their studies and obtain a vocational diploma, which of course places demands on us as staff at the school. We apply an inclusive approach where our students are active participants in their learning, which we believe is a prerequisite for our students to succeed. Our school has approximately 430 students and we have approximately 45 teachers and a total of approximately 55 employees. We are located on Lindholmen in beautiful, bright facilities with proximity to most amenities. There is also a library on the campus. Job Responsibilities Are you our new landscape construction teacher? Do you want to help shape the skilled craftspeople and good citizens of the future? We are looking for someone to teach landscape construction, take on a mentoring role, and be a present adult throughout the student's school day. We are seeking a driven educator at Bräckegymnasiet who is passionate about meeting young people on their way to a vocational diploma in landscape construction. Here you will become a key person in a team that works tirelessly to help every student reach their full potential. As a vocational teacher with us, you will teach landscape construction and be part of an engaged team where you together plan and develop instruction so that every student reaches their goals. Main job responsibilities: Plan, implement, and evaluate instruction and assessment in landscape construction. Maintain mentoring of students and support them toward their goals. Actively collaborate with the team regarding student groups, instruction, and pedagogical development. Be a present and confident adult for students throughout the school day. Use digital tools for structured planning, instruction, and feedback. Qualifications It is meritious if you are a certified teacher in landscape construction and have experience working with students at the upper secondary level. However, we place the greatest emphasis on your professional knowledge, practical experience, and personal qualities. Formal teaching credentials are therefore not a requirement. You have a willingness to work with students facing educational challenges and to engage with students throughout their entire school day. You hold a vocational certificate in landscape construction and have good knowledge of the construction industry's conditions and challenges. You have machinery operation knowledge and a foreman's certificate or operator's license for wheel loaders and/or excavators. You have strong pedagogical digital competence, i.e., you use digital tools for planning, instruction, and feedback. In your interactions with students, you are a responsive communicator. You have good collaboration skills and share ideas and experiences. Your openness to change is a prerequisite for conducting quality instruction with close industry connections. You have interest and experience in team-based work with collaborative focus on student groups and enjoy collaborating with colleagues. You are interested in school development and want to develop quality in instruction and assessment. You are structured, responsive, and goal-oriented with the ability to inspire.
