Duties
As a teacher in the after-school program, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction in the after-school program in accordance with the curriculum's objectives. You create a safe, stimulating, and meaningful operation where students' learning, development, and well-being are at the center.
You work to offer varied instruction that takes advantage of students' interests, strengthens their social skills, and promotes creativity, responsibility, and collaboration. You contribute to creating continuity between the school day and the after-school program and work closely with classroom teachers and other staff to provide students with a cohesive day.
You have clear and secure leadership in the student group and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
Qualifications
You are a certified teacher with authorization to teach in an after-school program or are trained as a leisure-time pedagogue. In cases of special needs, it may also be relevant if you are a certified preschool teacher. For this position, you must have strong knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of the after-school program's mission and governing documents and can put them into practice.
To succeed in this role, you are a secure and clear leader with good pedagogical insight. You have the ability to create structure, build positive relationships, and establish an inclusive learning environment where all students feel seen and included. You are also creative and engaged, with the ability to create stimulating activities through play, creative work, and movement. You are flexible, solution-focused, and work well with colleagues, students, and guardians, while taking responsibility for developing the operation forward.
